February 20th, 2023. The Core 4. The four headlines you need to know. The United States has

officially put China on notice regarding their assistance to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Yesterday, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken claimed that China is strongly considering sending ammunition and weapons to help Russia.

The administration has also been warning its NATO allies and the United Nations that the United States would consider lethal aid to Russia

as a serious problem in the Chinese-American relationship. The goal of the public statements by

Secretary Blinken is to force China to back down from their support of Russia. China is one of

the few developed nations that has not spoken out against Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and China is still

buying a ton of oil from Russia, which not only weakens NATO's sanctions, but helps fund the

Russian war effort. China has already offered non-lethal support to the Russians, like helmets and

other supplies, but the intelligence community is worried that lethal aid from the Chinese

could be coming soon.
