A Delta Airlines regional jet crashed at a Toronto airport.

I'm Hannah Jewell. It's Tuesday, February 18th. Let's get you caught up with

today's seven stories. A Delta flight from Minneapolis crashed while landing at Toronto

Pearson International Airport yesterday. The plane flipped upside down on the snow-covered tarmac. At the top of the show,

you heard audio from air traffic control describing the incident. Videos shared online captured

a chaotic scene as flight attendants evacuated the plane and passengers crawled out of the wreckage.

Remarkably, all 76 passengers and four crew members survived the

accident. But Delta said that 18 passengers were taken to the hospital with injuries, and three of

them were critically injured. It's not known why the plane flipped. Toronto Pearson Fire Chief

Todd Aiken spoke to the press yesterday about

conditions at the airport at the time of the crash. This is an active investigation.

It's very early on. It's really important that we do not speculate. What we can say is the runway

was dry and there was no crosswind conditions.

This incident comes at a time of heightened security of flight safety,

following a mid-air collision near a D.C. airport last month.

The Trump administration said this weekend that a team from Elon Musk's SpaceX company

would help envision ways to overhaul the nation's aging

air traffic control systems.
