Seattle will get a presidential visit this week. President Joe Biden is swinging through Seattle Friday, according to his re-election campaign.

He'll have a fundraising event here.

No word of any official White House business happening.

The president's visit is likely to cause travel delays on Seattle freeways and roads as his motorcade shuttles him around.

First Lady Jill Biden is also coming through the Northwest. She'll hold two

official events in Portland on Thursday. Let's talk about what happened last night in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

A space launch did not happen, for one. Boeing was going to send two astronauts to space for a week-long

trip, but canceled last night's launch

about two hours before takeoff because of a faulty oxygen valve. Wired reporter Jonathan O'Callaghan

says Boeing doesn't take all the blame for the canceled launch. It seemed like a kind of minor issue,

basically a valve on the rocket had some sort of issue that needs to be resolved.

The rocket that they are launching on is called the Atlas 5,

and that is made by the United Launch Alliance, a consortium that includes Boeing.

But rocket is kind of independent from Starliner.

So this issue is not entirely Boeing's fault.

Boeing's hoping it will finally be able to launch two astronauts into space on its Starliner

Space capsule this Friday. If successful, NASA can contract with Boeing to send routine
