people seeking asylum in the United States have been moving around King County for months. Last night,

most of them cleared out of an encampment at a park near Garfield High School. They'd been staying

there for about a week. We'll talk with KUOWOW reporter Gustavo Seggero about how we got here

and what long-term solutions are on the table. But first, let's get you caught up.

Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell will host a public meeting tonight at Rainier Beach Community Center.

It's the second of five planned safety meetings between neighbors and city leaders, including

police and fire departments.

The mayor's office says the discussions will help refine the so-called one Seattle safety framework.

The founder of the conservative student group Turning Point USA is slated to speak tonight on the UW campus.

Some students are calling for the university to cancel Charlie Kirk's talk.

There are fears attendees will clash with the peaceful UW Pro-Gaza encampment on campus, which has been growing larger.
