It's Tuesday, October 8th. Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson has filed a lawsuit against the social media app TikTok for violating the state's Consumer Protection Act. he claims that the app with its endless scroll

and push notifications is intentionally designed to be addictive to young users. TikTok told the

Associated Press it strongly disagrees with the claims and is committed to protecting teens.

Now a King County Superior Court judge will decide. Washington is not alone. 14 other states also

filed lawsuits, including Oregon and California. Ferguson is running for governor as a Democrat.

He also filed a lawsuit last year against META, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram.

Seattle officials have started work building a new bus route between the U district and downtown.
