A House committee says that former President Donald Trump should be charged with four crimes.

The House Committee investigating January 6th referred the former president to the Justice Department.

Here's Democratic Congressman Jamie Raskin during the group's final public session yesterday.

The committee believes that more than sufficient evidence exists for a criminal referral

of former President Trump for assisting or aiding and comforting those at the Capitol who engaged in a violent

attack on the United States.

They recommended that Trump be charged with inciting or assisting an insurrection, obstruction of

an official proceeding of Congress, conspiracy to the fraud of the United States,

and conspiracy to make a false statement. It's an unprecedented move but carries no legal weight.

It's up to the Justice Department to decide what, if any, charges to bring.

The committee's final report should come out tomorrow. Number two, a massive storm is expected to hit the U.S. before Christmas. Storm watches have been issued

for more than 32 million people from Kansas to Wisconsin with more expected to

come. The storm will likely start in the Midwest on Thursday and turn into a blizzard in some

areas by Thursday night. So if you're planning to travel this week, this could cause chaos,

so be prepared. U.S. lawmakers announced a 1.7 trillion dollar deal to fund the government.

Congress has until the end of Friday to approve the deal or federal funds will run out,

triggering a shutdown.

The package was unveiled early today.

It was negotiated by both Democrats and Republicans, so it's bipartisan.
