I was talking yesterday about my flight where we asked the old couple if they wanted to

change seats and they pretended they weren't traveling together.

I was laughing at your playing story about the guy who claims he wasn't traveling with

his wife. Anyway, I had to share my story about why I did not change seats with someone.

And if I'm the A-hole, let me know. I'll own it. I was traveling alone from Detroit to San

Francisco. I booked my preferred seat, a window seat. After boarding, I got myself all

set up and I hunkered down for this like four hour flight. My seat mates hadn't arrived

yet. So I was just chilling waiting for boarding to stop. Then an extremely large couple.

No, no, no. Clip clopped up the aisle. No, keep going. I looked at them thinking, Oh,

don't sit here. Please don't sit here. Please don't sit here. I already know where they're

sitting in typical Chuck luck fashion. They stop at my row. Welcome. Welcome to my row.

But it gets better. After exchanging pleasantries, the wife who was in the middle seat and her

husband who was in the aisle said to me, sweetie, I'm sure you noticed we're bigger people.

Yeah, I did. Would you mind switching seats with me? You're so tiny. It'd be more comfortable

if you sat between us. Yeah, okay. No, no, you're not back. I can already tell you you're

not the A-hole. No, you're not. So not only was she asking me to sit between her and her

rotund husband, she was asking me to switch from the window to the middle. No one ever
