Ever since New Year's Eve, heading into 2020, people have been comparing this new decade

to the 1920s.

Comparison that felt particularly grim and short-sighted once the optimism of a burgeoning

era was burst by the harsh reality of the pandemic. But even after we

settled into the pandemic, some were quick to point out that the roaring 20s emerged after a

period of war and its own pandemic, the 1918 influenza. So once the vaccines are distributed,

the variance tamps down and life returns to some semblance

of normality, will we be looking at another bout of high markets and lavish living?

First, I have to say personally, that I think one reason people keep clinging onto this idea,
