It's today we are rewinding back to September the 11th 2018 originally episode

2289. It was called practical homesteading in the modern age. I wanted to leave you

something that was nuts and bolts how to stuff during this rewind series and

since I'm up at the self-reliance festival. We're talking about a lot of

permaculture, homesteading, animal husbandry things. I thought this would be a

good one for that. And again we're following the theme from yesterday. So yesterday

we had an episode that was originally in September of 2019. Now we have one that

was originally in September of 2018 because the shows do seem to follow a little

bit of seasonality by topics. This is a time of year we start to think a lot about

our homesteading because well we're coming to the end of a season and we're

coming out of summer into fall. For many of us that means we're putting

everything to bed for the year. For many of us down here in the south that means

we're actually having our best time of year as gardeners and homesteaders from

a production standpoint. All of us are probably engaged in a lot of winter

prep from the standpoint of typical winter prep to also just putting food

by stacking up the larger that type of thing. Many of us are getting into the

point where it's time to do our hunting for the year and maybe grab some meat
