accordingly. And today folks, we are rewinding back to May the 19th, 2015. This was originally episode

1577 gun and hunting wisdom of our fathers. I have to tell you guys, I always like to leave if

I'm going to be gone for more than a couple of days and leave rewinds, at least one episode on

firearms and guns. This may be one of my personal favorite episodes I've never done and it probably

is my favorite episode that I've ever done about firearms and guns. Because I think it really

drives home the point that when politicians say stuff like no one needs an AR-15 to shoot a deer

or something stupid like that, it is absolutely correct when we say the second amendment was not

made so that we could hunt, but I think it would be was not made so we could hunt alone. It's not

the only reason that gun ownership in this country was protected by the Bill of Rights, the second

amendment to the United States Constitution, so that we could defend our homes, so that we could

remain a free and independent people, that that is part of why. And it says a rate in the amendment

and the thing that people try to use to say that it's only for the military or the militia whatever

is really actually very empowering because the militia in the words of one of our founders was

a whole of the people except for some government officials. Okay, so it actually doesn't do what

they think it does, but it wasn't only for that purpose. The gun was an absolute essential tool

in early America. If you went into the western states, which would have been something like

Kentucky of the time, right? How are you going to feed yourself? How are you going to protect yourself

just from wildlife and things like that? How are you going to defend your crops? How are you
