This week we're talking about two players with two big legacies at two Madrid-based clubs.

One player's name is sung in the seventh minute of every game at the Bernabéu and the other

player's name adorns the magnificent Estadio Nibayecas.

Both are known just by their first names.

We're talking this week about Juanito and Willy.

It's the second episode of the season and we're talking about two players today who are defined by their first names

and not even their first names, sort of nicknames derived from their first names.

Two players from two clubs in the same city, two very different men, two very different clubs,

but two intriguing characters.

We're talking about Juanito and Willy, Juanito being Juan Gómez, the Real Madrid legend,

and Willy being Wilfred Agbonavbalé, the Raya Bayecano legendary goalkeeper.

We'll start off by talking about Juanito, who I think most people listening might have an idea

of who he is. They might never have played watching play.

They might never really know what position he was at, but you've heard the name Juanito or you might have done.

I hadn't before really moving to Spain. I don't know about you.

I was just going to say the only thing I knew about him really before doing the research for recording this podcast

was the name, the fact that his name is still sung every single game in the seventh minute at the Bernabéu

and that he was a really good player in the 80s, but I didn't know much else.

I have to say, when you start reading up, I mean, we're doing half a podcast on him here,

you could do a whole podcast series on Juanito and it goes.
