So, after the Senate worked all night to fund most of the Department of Homeland Security, except ICE and Border Patrol,

and President Trump moved to pay TSA workers through executive action, the question is, how fast will these security agents get paid, show back up to

work, and get some of these crazy wait times down? No surprise, the picture in Washington is muddy at best.

The Senate package still has to get voted on by the House, signed by Trump, and it's unclear

exactly when all of that will happen. So where does the sleep travelers in the meantime?

In the case of Diane Drummond at LaGuardia in New York, pissed off.

Everybody's affected by this. It's ridiculous.

Congress needs to do their job.

Stop fencing around and mess it up everyone's lives.

CNN's Ed Lavendera is at Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport, where he's been seeing

lines that stretch outside of the terminal.

So, Ed, is all that news in Washington helping things there at all?

The situation here is absolutely not getting better.

We are seeing even despite officials here at the airport saying that some 32 additional TSA staff

have been sent to this airport, despite the ICE agents being here, there's still no significant

difference in the change of lines.

And what stands out to me is the lengths that people are doing or going to to make sure

that they don't miss their flights.

In many cases, they're showing up seven to eight hours ahead of their scheduled flight time and just to make

sure that they don't miss their flight. More news coming up, including some of the big decisions
