0:32.0	And not just egalitarianism in the narrow sense when it comes to male and female relationships in the church and the families and societies, but egalitarianism more broadly.
0:42.3	Yeah, you're not the boss of me, you know.

0:46.3	That's true, Tom.

0:48.3	This, we do kind of get sidetracked too quickly when we bring up the idea of egalitarianism
0:55.2	because people think we're talking about male-female relationships, complementarianism,
0:59.6	as that whole debate unfolded with the last couple of decades.
1:02.3	But it's a much broader, important subject than just the male-female distinctions.
1:08.2	Because we live in a society today where everyone gets a trophy and everybody
1:14.3	is considered equal and you can't say one's better than the other one's higher than the other
1:19.0	or else you're being oppressive yeah you're hurting you're hurting people's feelings what is what is
1:23.9	egalitarianism uh egalitarianism is uh an equalizing of all things, a leveling out of all things.
1:31.3	There's nothing worse, there's nothing better.
1:33.6	Everything really is the same.
1:36.1	We're different in a lot of ways, but we're the same in every way.
1:40.0	And so we want to talk about egalitarianism.
