And not just egalitarianism in the narrow sense when it comes to male and female relationships in the church and the families and societies, but egalitarianism more broadly.

This, we do kind of get sidetracked too quickly when we bring up the idea of egalitarianism

because people think we're talking about male-female relationships, complementarianism,

as that whole debate unfolded with the last couple of decades.

But it's a much broader, important subject than just the male-female distinctions.

Because we live in a society today where everyone gets a trophy and everybody

is considered equal and you can't say one's better than the other one's higher than the other

or else you're being oppressive yeah you're hurting you're hurting people's feelings what is what is

egalitarianism uh egalitarianism is uh an equalizing of all things, a leveling out of all things.

There's nothing worse, there's nothing better.

Everything really is the same.

We're different in a lot of ways, but we're the same in every way.
