0:08.2	who is the pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Blackshear, Georgia,
0:12.1	who recently has announced that he is willing to let himself be nominated to become
0:17.1	president of the Southern Baptist Convention in the upcoming meeting of the
0:21.3	convention in New Orleans. That's coming up in June of this year, 2023. Some of the things we
0:27.4	talked about are what's going on in the SBC. Mike has personally experienced some mistreatment by
0:34.3	SBC leaders, and he has sought avenues of trying to correct that and trying to
0:40.0	get information made available that hasn't been made available to him. And so we discussed some
0:45.1	those things. This particular podcast, we could have talked two hours because as we got into the
0:50.2	issues, there were just more and more things to say, but we did finally have to just shut
0:54.8	it down. But we're going to link in the notes of this episode to a podcast that he released under
1:01.5	his own pastor to pastor podcast that gives more background and also his announcement video
