0:31.3	article about how Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, wants to form a state militia made
0:38.1	of civilians. So the CNN headline reads, DeSantis proposes a new civilian military force in
0:44.7	Florida that he would control. And she retweeted it and she wrote, so y'all know this is fascistly
0:52.8	bananas, right? Here's the thing. If you read the article she retweeted, you read that 23
1:01.8	other states have this, you know, voluntary civilian militia already, including California
1:09.3	and New York. And so I replied just like a little comment underneath. I didn't like retweet
1:15.6	it. But I just said, you know, please read the article before you post this stuff. You're
1:22.2	a news outlet. The truth has to matter. I didn't really think anything of it put my
1:28.1	phone down. Check Twitter a couple hours later and had been completely co-opted by the right.
1:37.3	Because I challenged a tweet of someone on the left who I enjoy. And of course the outlets
1:44.0	blow it up like Sarah Silverman rails against joy and read it. Because, you know, it's show
1:51.7	business. It's all show business. And look, I, I like joy and read. I very much do not like
2:00.0	Ron DeSantis. And I don't say this to placate the left. If this is my truth, I think he's a,
2:05.3	you know, he's one of those vaccinated anti-vaxxers who worships Trump. And I do think he might
2:13.9	could be dangerous. And, but more than I like her and more than I don't like him, I care about
2:22.1	what is true and how it's presented by news outlets. And she did tweet me later. She said,
2:28.4	please watch the show tonight. We're going to go in depth. And they did, you know, but that tweet
2:34.4	stood alone. And, you know, people get their news from headlines, unfortunately. What DeSantis is
2:43.3	going to do with a civilian led militia that he controls, probably perhaps will be fascisty bananas.
