WELCOME TO THIS WEEK'S SERIES:

Are you tired of leaving your big decisions to endless spreadsheets and overthinking? This week, we dive into Intuitive Intelligence, the powerful, science-backed way your body makes brilliant choices by listening to your Gut-Brain Axis—the direct highway between your enteric nervous system and your mind. Over seven days, you'll learn to cut through the analytical noise, bypass "analysis paralysis," and confidently trust the internal signals that lead to your best life.

This is day 7 of a 7-day meditation series, "Intuitive Intelligence: Hacking Your Gut-Brain Axis for Clarity," episodes 3402-3406.

YOUR WEEKLY CHALLENGE: The 3-Second Pause Challenge

Before making any non-urgent decision this week (e.g., ordering lunch, responding to an email, selecting a task), pause for exactly three seconds. Place your hand gently on your solar plexus or abdomen and ask: "Does this feel expansive or contractive?" This simple ritual trains you to access your gut's instant feedback loop before the logical mind jumps in..

Welcome to episode 3,408 of your daily meditation podcast.

I'm Mary Meckley and I welcome you to the final episode of this week's series.

0:16.2

You have been on a journey this week to explore your intuitive intelligence. You are hacking your

0:26.6

gut brain axis for clarity. And this week you are focusing on a decision you have been wanting

0:36.6

to make and you're experimenting with different meditation

0:41.6

techniques and you're discovering science about how your brain makes the best decisions.

0:52.7

Well today, in the final episode of the series, you're going to explore

1:00.9

the power of a weekly review. And this is where you do something called tracking and savoring.

1:16.6

So the final day of a series where you do a weekly review utilizes the psychological

1:25.2

principle of savoring,

1:28.4

where consciously reviewing positive outcomes

1:34.2

reinforces the behavior that led to them.

1:40.1

By reviewing the successful decisions,

1:51.2

both big and small decisions that you made during the week,

1:59.1

helps you to validate this system and create a powerful internal reward loop. And what this does is it makes consistency satisfying. This process is

2:08.7

essentially for shifting the practice from a temporary state to a permanent trait.

2:18.3

So the more you do any technique, it might be an affirmation or a visualization, or a breathing

2:28.3

technique or a mudra or a chakra focus, whatever you begin to do, more and more consistency showing up for yourself.

2:38.0

Even if you don't meditate for very long, maybe you're going throughout your day and you're feeling stressed,

2:45.0

so you select a technique and you begin to do that technique whenever you feel a particular kind of stress.

2:54.9

This becomes a reference point in your brain.

3:00.5

It becomes a permanent trait.
