Welcome to episode 2758 of The Daily Meditation Podcast. I'm Mary Mickley and I

0:10.7

welcome you midweek in our series we're exploring. This week the theme is a

0:18.9

daily dose of inner peace and this is more and more important of these days of

0:27.2

uncertainty and I've certainly been diving into my own inner peace journey this week

0:34.4

because I happen to be evacuating from the hurricane that is expected to hit the

0:43.8

west coast of Florida. I live on a barrier island off the coast of Florida so our entire island

0:53.0

was mandatory evacuation so I find myself now in West Palm Beach, Florida across the state

1:02.8

on the eastern coast. It took hours to get here and we have our pets and our family and

we are grateful that we are someplace safe so you might wonder if I actually do the meditation

1:20.3

techniques I share with you every day and I do. In fact this is my own meditation ritual I share

are already midweek in our series this is for a Wednesday on Wednesdays I like to incorporate a

2:01.1

Mutra and I know some of you who may be new aren't really familiar with Mutras but if you've been

2:09.3

here for a while I do know because I hear from you how Mutras are actually one of your favorite

2:16.8

techniques so today I invite you if you would like to explore a dynamic meditation technique

2:25.8

a Mutra. Mutras are similar to yoga or acupressure we have so many nerve endings in our fingertips

2:37.9

and within our hands and so when you press or hold your hands or fingers in a particular way

2:44.9

it is considered to stimulate a corresponding region of your brain so if you would like to try

2:52.4

the Mutra today it is called the Vajra Pradama Mutra and this is a Mutra to help you tune into

3:01.3

unshakeable trust to tune into your intuition and this is one of the most important ways you can

3:11.4

support yourself and it gives you a dose of inner peace so if you like to do the Mutra it's very
