Anxiety.

It's what happens when humans who have been traumatized

attempt to control the future.

Anxiety is a physical reaction to uncertainty.

It's caused by a sense of powerlessness

and often that feeling of powerlessness, it's rational.

Anxiety, however, is irrational.

We shake, we sweat.

It's the trick our mind plays on our body, convincing us there's something lurking out there.

So here's a blast of adrenaline.

So we're feeling powerless and the adrenaline is designed to make us powerful,

to give us the strength required to take on whatever is threatening us, but because

nothing is actually threatening us, all we're left with is that rush of

adrenaline without anyone or anything to use it on.

That is what a panic attack is.

That's what anxiety is.
