Good morning. It's Sunday, March 31st. Happy Easter to you. I'm Ali Valshi. As the justice system closes in on Donald Trump, the behavior of the Republican Party's presumptive presidential nominee has grown increasingly disturbing, erratic, and dangerous, and that should surprise no one.

One year ago this weekend, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicted Trump on 34 felony counts

in connection to an alleged cover-up of a payoff scheme to prevent a potential sex scandal

American president had ever been criminally charged in the history of this country. Trump, as you can

have had some real consequences. On March 24th of last year, Trump posted on Truth Social that his

indictment would lead to, quote, potential death and destruction, end quote. Just hours later,

the Manhattan District Attorney's Office received a letter addressed

to Bragg. It contained a death threat and a small amount of white powder. Then days after Trump was

arraigned in court, Bragg received another letter, again containing white powder and a death threat.

One year later, not much has changed. Trump is continuing his assault on the

justice system on a near daily basis. He's publicly attacked the prosecutors and the judges

involved in his many legal cases, and as a result, they've all received threats or have been

victims of harassment. Trump has previously referred to Alvin Bragg as an animal.

He's used a nickname that sounds a whole lot like a racial epithet to refer to New York
