It is the 3rd of January and there are 17 days left until Donald Trump will raise his hand

and take the oath, the same one taken by Washington and Jefferson, Lincoln, and FDR.

And once again, he will be restored to power.

He will become in an instant the 47th president of the United States. And when he

become so, the words that are ringing out on Fox News and across Twitter will have more meaning

than they do today. They're just hollow, empty, and meaningless. But soon, they will ring out with all the authority of the state.

And it should make us afraid for a very simple reason.

Donald Trump and his acolytes are looking for any excuse, for any crime, any terrible

event to make it fit inside their narrative, their narrative of extremism

and bigotry and jingoistic intolerance for the immigrant. This is the warning. January has begun

with two terror attacks against the American people, in New Orleans

and in Las Vegas.

The image of a cyber truck exploded and burning outside of the Trump Hotel isn't just an

offense, but perhaps a metaphor for what is to come, what is arriving, what is bearing down. Here is the reaction from the
