Well, good Wednesday afternoon from Washington. I'm Chuck Todd and this is the Chuck Todd

cast to say that a lot has happened in 24 hours is a bit of an understatement. It feels

like every 24 minutes. We have a bit of an update. But a lot is happening. Tuesday night,

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave a formal address to the nation where she announced an

impeachment inquiry after President Trump asked Ukraine to investigate his potential

2020 opponent Joe Biden. Wednesday morning, the White House released notes. Very specific

notes. It's not don't call it a transcript, but it almost reads like a transcript from

the president's phone call with Ukrainian president Zelensky. And now we finally know for sure

what Trump did say about Joe and Hunter Biden. Plus this whole episode is forcing the media

to reckon with questions of fairness, what aboutism and how to cover this whole episode.

And later in the show, I'm going to sit down with columnist and baseball fan George

Will to get some historical perspective on where we are. And yes, talk about the gnats

who did clinch and his cubbies who actually did the gnats a favor by helping them clinch.
