Can we talk about Justice Gorsuch for a moment?

So if you go on social media and even in other forums, the night of the decision and

the day after, he's getting a lot of praise from conservatives, from liberals, from a lot of different people,

including ideologues, and people who I don't consider to be ideologues,

in particular for a paragraph that gets quoted and posted again and again and again since last Friday.

And it's basically an ode to a different branch of government.

And overall, an ode to our three-part structure of government with checks and balances that we learn about in civics class.

I want to read a little bit of it to you and then ask a question.

And the question, while I'm reading it to think about, is why did he feel it necessary

to say this stuff and does it matter and does he deserve the praise that he's getting?

And he says, look, most major decisions affecting the rights and responsibilities of the American
