He has decided to do what power mad kings have done for centuries. He's picked a fight with the Pope,

specifically over the Holy Father's objections to the U.S. Israeli war on Iran. Now, to be clear,

I think it's fine to disagree with the Pope, even to argue with the Pope.

I have certainly disagreed with many aspects of Catholic doctrine throughout my life.

But in this instance, crucially, the Pope is correct, and Donald Trump is wrong.
