0:14.3	along with my colleague Karen Friedman Ignifalo we're going to talk about debate
0:19.1	explain discuss how Judge Chutkin in early August gets the Trump election interference case back on track,
0:28.2	especially given the direction and mandates of the United States Supreme Court. Does she conduct a mini trial
0:37.3	allowing the Department of Justice to put on all of its evidence? We know that
0:41.6	Donald Trump is going to oppose that. He only wants it on briefing
0:46.2	because he doesn't want the American people to get a preview of the evidence against him
0:51.2	before they have to make their decision on November the 5th.
0:55.2	So there's going to be that battle. There's at least four or five separate substantive motions
1:00.6	related to discovery, related to jury instructions, related to of to stop Donald Trump from making certain arguments to the jury.
1:13.2	That all has to be decided by Judge Chutkin.
1:15.7	And then she's got to make her ultimate ruling
1:17.5	about which of the overt acts that are listed
1:20.6	in the 50-page indictment or so supporting the four counts of the indictment and
1:26.5	we'll talk about the four counts of the indictment as well which of those fall
1:29.9	into the category of prosecutable, unofficial, slash private conduct because if it falls
1:37.2	into the category of official conduct, even the outer boundaries of it, or it falls into the it falls into the the bucket of core
1:46.4	presidential functions as outlined in Article 2 of the Constitution then
1:51.0	none of that is going to be able to be prosecuted as a crime and the evidence of things
1:55.8	that are official conduct or core presidential conduct can also not be used to support
2:01.8	the unofficial conduct that's at the heart of the matter.
