Trump had said that the reciprocal tariffs were going to take effect on April 2nd.

Oh, oh, your birthday's upcoming. Yeah, my birthday's on April 2nd. I said, oh, reciprocal tariffs on my birthday, nice. Well, it's nice you don't have a April Fool's birthday. I guess Trump did say that, right? I'm not doing it on April Fool's because I don't want people to think that it's just a joke. it's for the same reason that my mother told the, and my mother went into labor, I think about, I think on April 1st. And she likes to tell the story about how she told the, uh, the nurses, you better hang me upside down. He's not coming out on April 1st. I came out on April 2nd. So I held out.
