Good evening from Washington, I'm Jen Psaki and for Chris Hayes.

And just two days on Wednesday, Republican candidates will meet on a stage in Milwaukee

for the first Republican primary debate this cycle.

It's also the week that the Republican frontrunner, who announced he's skipping the debate,

is required to surrender to authorities in Fulton County, Georgia.

If that combination of things doesn't perfectly capture the state of the Republican party

right now, I don't really know what does.

And today, Donald Trump's lawyers met with Fulton County prosecutors to discuss his

surrender over the 13 felony count indictment brought by district attorney, Fannie Willis,

where prosecutors say he orchestrated a criminal enterprise to steal the 2020 election in

Georgia.

After roughly an hour discussing the terms, the attorney, the attorney's along with

Fannie Willis, came to an agreement over the ex-presidents' bonds, and Atlanta judged

that the bond for Trump at $200,000.

The order also includes some striking language, which stuck out to me, and a stark warning

for the ex-president.

It says, quote, the defendant's Donald J. Trump shall perform no act to intimidate any

person known to him or her to be a co-defendant or witness in this case, or to otherwise obstruct

the administration of justice.

Wonder why that was all needed in there.

The agreement orders him to not make any threats against any witnesses or co-defendants,

including threats made on social media.
