The deal is so widely derided that it may be one of the few things that Donald Trump might want to remove his name from.

But at the moment, he's still defending the memorandum of

understanding, describing it in a new interview tonight as, quote, unconditional surrender, end

quote. And by that, he means Iran's unconditional surrender. Now, I'm no linguist, but I've had a

working knowledge of the English language for some years now. And my sense is that what Iran came out of this deal with is not unconditional surrender. But hey, maybe I'm wrong. And if I am, guess what? I surrender. Because surrendering to Donald Trump now seems to mean coming out on the better end of a deal. Maybe it's my Canadian English. So let's hear what a bunch of prominent Americans are saying about this agreement.

This memorandum has been called ill-advised, a disaster, a huge mistake, a pretty humiliating loss, the worst foreign policy blunder in decades.
