That's White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt today, after Israel targeted senior Hamas

leaders in Doha.

She says the Trump administration knew about the strike beforehand and that President

Donald Trump spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Qataris afterwards.

Qatar's foreign ministry says the strike targeted residential buildings housing several members of the Hamas Political Bureau.

The militant group says five of its members were killed, but not the negotiating delegation.

Qatar and Hamas say a Qatari security official also died.

An Israeli official says the attack involved more than 10 fighter jets,

which fired more than 10 munitions. Two Israeli sources say the attack was, quote,
