Good morning. It's Sunday, March the 12th. I'm Ali Velshi. We begin today with an insurrection,

although probably not the one you're thinking of. In an important new warning, the Biden administration has publicly announced that Russian actors, some with direct ties to Russian intelligence operations,

are seeking to sow political unrest and protest in

Moldova, a nation that was formerly part of the Soviet Union.

According to the White House's national security spokesman John Kirby, it's part of a Russian

strategy to, quote, foment a manufactured insurrection against the Moldovan government, end quote.

The Biden administration adds, quote, Russia is pursuing options to weaken the Moldovan government,

probably with the eventual goal of seeking a more Russian-friendly administration in the capital.

Russia trying to interfere in a foreign country sovereignty sovereignty should of course sound familiar to you.
