So we had various topics we were going to cover, but then, of course, certain news broke.

I'm having a hard time getting my head around it because it's peculiar even by Trumpian standards.

A theme of this administration has been revenge. By the way, I heard someone recently take issue with the word retribution,

and I don't know of any good reason this person was saying why we call it retribution,

which sounds kind of esoteric and kind of legal and kind of philosophical, rather than revenge.

So I'm heeding this person's admonition, and I'm calling it the revenge tour, not the retribution tour.

Yeah, I've always been in the revenge camp because it's transparently revenge.

And with respect to people who have been accused of and even convicted of and even sentenced for crimes, most notably the January 6 defendants, it has not been enough,

Joyce, it has not been enough for the new guys who were the old guys, but the new guys to dismiss

those cases, choose not to pursue them, it's not been enough to issue clemency or pardons

for those folks. Now it's time to compensate them?

Can that be?
