Look, I have no objection to any candidate pursuing

every possible legal and constitutional remedy and I applaud Trump's lawyers for being

creative and looking to the text of the Constitution looking to the laws of various states in order to exhaust

every possible legal remedy before conceding.

That's their right.

Is it the right thing to do? I leave that to

viewers and listeners. That's a political judgment. But legally, they certainly are

entitled to pursue every remedy.

Now, what do they have in mind?

Let me explain what the Constitution provides

and then talk about an historical precedent that I'm sure the

Trump people are thinking about.

Constitutionally, under the 12th Amendment to the Constitution, which was enacted after the

fiasco involving Jefferson and Burr and Hamilton, which we all know about from the musical Hamilton, where neither candidate got a

majority because Burr decided to undo the deal he had made with Jefferson.
