sanctions on Iran that will cut it off from the global financial system. European countries warn that

the sanctions will make humanitarian trade with Iran close to impossible and

worsen the suffering of the Iranian people according to the Washington Post

the sanctions were heavily pushed behind the scenes by the Israeli government and a

regime change think tank in Washington known as the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies.

u.s sanctions what do these new sanctions do?

You know, what it really is is just adding another layer or actually what, you know,

FD is called a sanctions wall, to an already dire situation. So, you know, in terms of humanitarian trade,

that's already been impeded. And we've seen real life on the ground consequences to the

sanctions that currently exist. Iranians are having difficulty with specialized medicines,

for instance, medicines having to do with chemotherapy
