Hey there from CNN. I'm Krista Bow with The Five Things You Need to Know for Tuesday, February 11th.

President Donald Trump is meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah at the White House,

and he's looking to make a deal.

The talks come just a week after Trump pitched his idea of the U.S. taking ownership of Gaza

and developing it into the, quote, Riviera of the Middle East.

To do that, he'd need to further displace the nearly two million Palestinians who live there,

and he's hoping Jordan and Egypt could take them in.

But both countries, in addition to Palestinians themselves, have consistently said that

won't be happening, citing the desire for Palestinians to have full citizenship rights,

where they have historically lived.

Yesterday, reporters asked Trump if he would use U.S. aid as leverage.

Yeah, maybe. Sure. Why not?

If they don't agree, I would conceivably withhold aid.

The U.S. sends billions of dollars of aid to Jordan and Egypt,

and they would both face some dire financial problems

if Trump followed through with the threat. The courts are really busy right now as new challenges

against the Trump administration's policies and actions pop up pretty much daily. And yesterday alone,
