Just hours after President Donald Trump extended the U.S. ceasefire with Iran, Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps says it sees two ships in the Strait of Hormuz and transfer them to Iranian waters.

Iranian state media is also reporting that a third ship has been, quote,

disabled off the country's coast. Two sources familiar with internal discussions tell CNN

that Trump plans to give the Iranians a limited time frame to come up with a unified

proposal to get diplomatic negotiations back on track. But it's not clear if that message

has made it to the Iranians. CNN's Elaine Traine is in Washington.

The Trump administration believes that there is currently a fracture within Iran's government

and really on who is empowered to make decisions.

You know, on one side you have some of the negotiators that have been involved in these

And so I think what we've seen play out, and this continues in my conversations with the

sources I've been speaking with this morning, is that the ceasefire shows that the Trump

administration still does want a diplomatic solution here.
