United States could be in for a momentous change. As more votes get tallied, it's become clear.

Americans overwhelmingly decided to

re-elect former President Donald Trump just four years after deciding to remove him from power.

As of this morning, he has secured 312 electoral votes, well over the 270 needed to clinch the election.

Trump scored victories across the U.S., including in all of the seven battleground states.

The former president brought in a much larger backing than he did four years ago.

He made gains in both Republican-led and Democratic-led states and across demographics.

He has now on track to become the first Republican presidential candidate to win the popular vote in two decades.

And it's worth noting Trump did all of this

in what was an unprecedented election cycle, marked by two assassination attempts against him,

felony convictions, and his top opponent changing in the final stretch of the race. In a speech yesterday,

the former president celebrated his comeback as the, quote, greatest political movement we've ever seen.
