I'm Gaelin Drouk and also welcome to 2021.

So far it's not all that different from 2020.

In an hour long phone call, President Trump asked the Georgia Secretary of State to quote

find enough votes to overturn Joe Biden's win in Georgia.

Trump suggested the Secretary and his lawyer could be criminally liable if they didn't.

This comes at a time when dozens of Congressional Republicans are planning to vote against

certifying Biden's electoral college win later this week.

So will there be any repercussions for Trump's behavior?

And what does the broader effort from Republicans to deny Biden's win say about where the

party is headed?

And of course, the pair of Georgia runoff elections that will determine control of the

Senate are wrapping up tomorrow, Tuesday, the Democrats in both races are leading by a slim

margin in our polling averages and a record number of Georgians have already voted.

We're going to discuss what the data so far indicates and what the contours of the

races have been.
