What does it say about a world leader on the very morning of Easter that declares hope and peace

and new life when their words sound more like war, anger, death, and destruction? So that's what I

want to talk about today. To wrap up the week is Trump's Truth Social Post, my take and what I think we can learn from it.

So this last week contained a pretty big day on the calendar. It was Easter. In fact, I would argue

that it is the most important day on the entire calendar for the human race. Not just Christians

who celebrate Easter, but for every Buddhist, for every Hindu,

for every Muslim, for every atheist agnostic, and anything else. Because that is humanity's

only hope for being rescued from the sin that condemns us and subjects us to the just punishment that we deserve before God.

Even me as an atheist, Easter was the most important day for me even before I believed in it

because it rescued me from my atheism and unbelief and it actually opened my eyes and set me free.

And that's the hope that we have for everyone who comes to believe in the gospel.

My wife read an Easter quote to me that I thought was absolutely magnificent. I can't remember who

said it, but he said, the greatest jail break in history occurred on Easter morning. Therefore,

whatever we imagine our prisons to be, and no matter how impenetrable

they seem to be, our jailbreak is only a prayer away. Isn't that great? Sin, death, hell,

trial, tribulation, they don't get the final word. You don't have to stay stuck forever.

God has the final word and he has the power to set us free. On Easter morning, a time, as I said,

is already marked by lots of conflict, lots of concern and uncertainty. Some very strong

provocative words were released into the public square by President Trump.

Look at this.

Tuesday will be power plant day and bridge day all wrapped up in one in Iran.

There will be nothing like it.
