As we know, Donald has been making up emergencies as an excuse to send the National Guard to occupy U.S. cities.

It started in L.A., and the most recent invasion is taking place currently in Washington, D.C.

Donald is also threatening hostile takeovers of Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Oakland, all large, diverse, and not coincidentally,

blue cities. Of course, there's major crime in D.C., just as there isn't any major city around

the world. In the United States, specifically, the 10 cities with the highest crime rate

are both red and blue. But here's an interesting fact. L.A., New York,

and Chicago are not among them. So let's start by checking in on just how well the D.C. occupation

is going so far. On Wednesday, the Independent posted this footage of the National Guard in our nation's capital, defending

the city citizens against the horrific crime wave that apparently exists only in Donald Trump's

very small mind. Take a look. The The Yes, that is how our National Guard troops are fighting back against the crime emergency.

They're strolling through Lafayette Park, picking up trash on the taxpayers' dime.

The Independent also reports that National Guardsmen are doing the same work around the National Mall and the tidal basin as part of a quote, beautification and restoration mission, unquote.

That sounds less like a description of an urgent crime fighting mission than a home improvement project.

So what's really going on here?

And why are the National Guard troops mostly being seen around very public tourist- places like the Washington Monument and the

National Mall. Well, obviously, this is just for a photo op. This is all about messaging,

not about crime at all. Donald wants people who are paying attention to believe that there is such a serious crime wave in Washington, D.C.,

that there must be troops everywhere.

And to make this point, he sent these very expensive and armed national guardsmen to pick up trash.

I have a feeling, I could be wrong about this, that Doge must be behind it because it is so very,

very efficient. But seriously, dispatching 2,234 National Guard members, again, many of them carrying weapons

is not the answer to any problem we currently have.
