On Thursday evening, when the guilty verdict came back against President Trump, well the blowback was immediate and it came in the form of tens of millions of

dollars flowing into his campaign coffers.

Specifically, shortly after the verdict was handed down,

President Trump came out and he gave a short public address wherein he said the following.

And we went up a lot over the last month because everybody saw it was a rigged deal, it was a rigged trial.

But we're going to make America great again. We're going to make it better than ever before.

Then, within the span of about 24 hours hours the Trump campaign announced that they had

hauled in a staggering 53 million dollars in donations.

Quote, Donald J. Trump's campaign announced on Friday evening that he had raised nearly 53 million dollars in the 24

hours after his felony conviction shattering online records for Republicans

and raking in enough cash to help him close what has been a substantial financial gap with Joe Biden.

Now the sheer amount of money that was raised in that first 24 hour period of time was truly staggering.

For instance, the Biden campaign, they raised a total of only $51 million in all of April,

which is less than what was donated in that one single day.

Quote, it is hard to put the enormity of the sum into proper perspective, but it would nearly match in a single day

The 58 million dollars that Mr. Trump's main fundraising arm raised online in the last six months of 2023.

Although just as an aside, it is perhaps worth mentioning that Trump's conviction

also apparently galvanized Democrats to donate to Joe Biden as well,
