After escalating things with Iran recklessly and irresponsibly, as is his way, Donald started

his week spiraling into a paranoid meltdown on his failing social media site, because even

he knows that his order to bomb Iran may be one of the biggest disasters of his already

catastrophic legacy.

He started out on Monday freaking out about oil, oil prices specifically, probably because these

strikes had an immediate effect on oil prices, which is to say, made them go up.

Donald posted two desperate posts in succession, which read, quote,

everyone keep oil prices down. I'm watching. You're playing right into the hands of the enemy.

Don't do it. And then, quote, to the Department of Energy, drill, baby drill, and I mean now, unquote.

Here's the problem, though. The Department of Energy doesn't control oil production, something you think is sitting president of the United States,

especially one in a second term, would already know. Private companies control such things,

and they are not about to make a billion-dollar decisions based on a truth social temper tantrum.

In reality, U.S. oil output has plateaued this year because of cautious markets and weak global demand.

And Donald's own fantasy price of $50 per barrel, it discourages new drilling.

So his tantrums are noise, not policy,

and oil companies know that. What is real? Market panic. NBC reports oil prices jump 4% Sunday after the strikes. And now in retaliation, Iran's parliament has backed a vote to

close the Strait of Hormuz, a vital choke point for 20 percent of the world's oil.

This has and will have massive consequences globally for oil prices as MSNBC reports.

A senior Iranian lawmaker now reporting that in what they call a decisive response to

U.S. aggression against, again, what they call Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities,

the Iranian parliament has voted to close the strategically vital straight of Hormuz.
