President Donald Trump is set to have his one-on-one meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska today.

Ukraine's president isn't going to be there, but Trump says he plans to phone him and other European leaders after the meeting.

And with just hours to go until this critical sit down, Trump told Fox Radio that he believes

that Putin wants to make a deal.

I believe now he's convinced that he's going to make a deal.

He's going to make a deal.

I think he's going to find out.

I'm going to know very quickly.

But despite his optimism, the president has also given a warning, as CNN's Kristen Holmes explains. So you heard President Trump also say that there was a chance this was going to fail, that he was just going to end up getting back on the plane and coming back to the U.S. But it does seem like there's been somewhat of a shift in the last couple of days to where he's starting to say more about Putin making a deal,

and less that this is just a listening exercise. But of course, there are still skeptics on all sides here. There are concerns among U.S. officials and European officials that President Trump

will be charmed by President Putin. Of course, that is something we have seen before.
