That's President Donald Trump, telling reporters today that he's all for signing a bipartisan bill to release the Jeffrey Epstein case files.

That's a change in tune for the president, who previously opposed releasing the files.

But Trump says he doesn't want the news to overshadow his administration's successes.

The House is expected to vote on the measure tomorrow, with House Republicans indicating they'll

support it. And according to a GOP leadership aide,

Senate Majority Leader John Thune is weighing whether to schedule a vote on the bill.

He's not expected to announce anything until after the House votes on it.

House Speaker Mike Johnson says he could support the measure

if the Senate changes some of the provisions in it

to better protect the names of Epstein's victims,

something supporters say the bill effectively does already.

The Supreme Court says it'll review a controversial immigration policy from the first Trump

administration. The policy known as metering began in 2018 and turned away potential asylum

seekers at the U.S.-Mexico border before they set

foot on American soil. The Biden administration rescinded the policy and instead began requiring

most people seeking asylum to make an appointment before arriving at the port of entry.

Because of that, an immigrant rights group and several asylum seekers argue that the case, quote,

has almost no present implications and likely no future implications either.

However, the Trump administration says it wants to continue using the policy when conditions at the border, quote, justify doing so.
