I'm Karen Friedman Agnifalo, joined by Donya Perry and Kathleen Rice, and we're thrilled to be here again to talk about all things that are going on at the intersection of law and politics and give you the perspective, the unique perspective that we bring to all of this.

0:28.6

Today we have a lot to talk about guys. Big news coming from Jack Smith, the special counsel, he has been really busy.

0:38.8

You know, he asked for more time in the Washington, D.C. case, and people were scratching their heads thinking,

0:44.8

why does he need more time? Well, now we know, because he superseded the indictment against Donald Trump

0:52.1

in order to be able to address the concerns that the United States

0:58.0

Supreme Court brought and literally making new law and presidential immunity. And so he superseded,

1:08.0

meaning he changed the indictment

1:10.9

in order to address those issues.

1:13.8

And so we're gonna talk about that in pretty in detail

1:17.9

and really talk about how he has,

1:21.2

he has neutralized the issues in a brilliant way,

1:26.1

I think that were raised by the Supreme Court. So we're going to talk

1:29.7

about that in detail. And the other thing he's been doing, again, very busy, is he's appealing

1:37.0

the Mar-a-Lago dismissal to the 11th Circuit and essentially calling out how Judge Eileen Cannon's interpretation of the law

1:49.1

is wrong and the case should be reinstated.

1:54.1

So we're going to talk about that appeal and whether we think that is going to succeed. And finally, Kathleen Rice, our former member of Congress, the only one of us who's actually

2:06.9

run for office and also held office, is going to talk about what's happening in Texas in

2:15.2

particular where we have people who are trying to do voter suppression through

2:21.6

ballot harvesting, something I didn't even know was an issue. And so Kathleen is going to talk

2:27.1

about how MAGA and the far right is literally trying to make it so that people's votes aren't counting and what we can

2:36.3

do about that. So we also love that people are asking us questions in leaving comments
