Republicans in Congress are scrambling to push President Donald Trump's massive tax and spending

bill over the finish line.

Earlier today, he told reporters it wouldn't be catastrophic if Congress doesn't meet his

July 4th deadline, but then reasserted the deadline on social media, saying the House

quote, must be ready to send the bill to his desk.

Trump is planning to stay in Washington for the weekend to keep pressure on Senate Republicans. GOP senators believe the chamber will start voting on the package on Sunday, even as the final

text is still being drafted and major disputes remain.

New York Republican Congresswoman Nicole Maliatakis says Republicans shouldn't rush it.

I'm not as set on getting this done on July 4th as some of the others.

If they try to jam it through and they go too far and changing what the House did,

it runs the risk of it failing here.

Through a few short months, we've now achieved peace between India and Pakistan, Israel and Iran,

and the DRC in Rwanda.

President Trump celebrated a peace deal sign between the foreign ministers of Rwanda

and the Democratic Republic of the Congo at the White House.

It means an end to the conflict in eastern DRC that has left thousands dead and millions displaced.

The U.S. and Cutter helped broker the deal.
