So Renato, Trump has asked for a delay in the Maralago trial until after the 2024 election.

Is this just a bunch of BS? It's complicated.

it was blissfully far away from the craziness here.

But I know one big development Renato is the court filing by Trump's lawyers within the courtroom of our favorite

Judge Eileen Loose Cannon asking for a delay. Now just so we have the as they say procedural

posture set up there was an initial an initial trial date that kind of comes with the, you know, part of filing charges,

which was August and that was just never going to happen. I mean everybody

knew that and then the Department of Justice requested a date in December which from what I understand given how CIPO works and everything, probably also unrealistic.

And now, Trump's lawyers have asked for a trial date after the election, so after November 2024.

So I guess the question is, was it realistic that there was going to be a trial that could happen after December, but before next November to begin with.

So I don't think so. I wrote a column, I think, right after the charges in Politico, which I said that this trial is not going to happen until after the election.

Brian Greer was on the podcast before the secrets and laws on Twitter who was the former

associate general counsel, the CIA said and

on Twitter who was the former associate general counsel, the CIA,

said that he thought it was very unlikely, highly unlikely,

we would have a trial before the election.

And so I think that was always sort of a pie in the sky wish.
