Today on the Playbook podcast, Donald Trump addresses Republican lawmakers at the Kennedy

Center this morning for the start of an election year rally, but there's only one topic

on people's minds.

It's Venezuela.

Tuesday, January 6th. Dasha, how you doing, man? I feel like you had a touch of the winter

flu yesterday. Yeah, and then with the rest of you guys who caught whatever is going around,

D.C., so I'm a tad under the weather, but wouldn't miss this chat for the world.

Thank you. Did you do too much New Year's Eve partying? You seem like the type. You know, my mom and sister were visiting, so we like went to all of the museums that were packed with people and did all the D.C. touristy stuff and a lot of stuff going around. So I think I picked something up with the hanging out with the fam.

Well, Donald Trump will be hanging out at the Kennedy Center today, or should we say the Trump Kennedy Center? It is on the building now, so it's official. It's on the building, but some people will tell you that it shouldn't be. He's going to be there this morning to address House Republicans who are gathering for a sort of a way day there and the president's speech at 10 a.m. will be the

main event. Now, this was supposed to be, like a start of the year rally for Trump to try and

stir up some excitement amongst the GOP and obviously what is a pivotal election year for them

and indeed for him.

But given what's happened over the last 72 hours,

it's pretty clear what the main thing people are going to want to hear from him is,

and the main thing we're going to be listening out for,
