I can't believe The Who are retiring after this final farewell tour.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I mean, all of these rock stars are, you know, 78 or 80 or 82.

But if The Who had accomplished nothing else other than putting out, I believe, 1969,

the first rock opera, Tommy, the pinball wizard, they would have a place in music history.

But of course, they did a lot more than that, talking about my generation.

And they're calling it quits. You know, it's surprising. There's another line from another Who song,

Hope I die before I get old. Well, I guess they chose to get old instead. But it probably sounded like a good anthem, you know, back when everybody was young when they were young.
