This will be an interesting trip. I have no idea what's going to happen, but you are well represented.

That's President Donald Trump as he left the White House to head to the World Economic Forum in Davos.

And set to be top of the agenda is Trump's

threat to take over Greenland. Trump is arriving in the Swiss town later than expected, because on the

way to Davos, his plane had to head back to the U.S. because of what's being described as a, quote,

minor electrical issue. Already there is U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Besant.

And speaking to CNBC, he told the European countries pushing against Trump's Greenland

Acquisition to, quote, sit down and wait for him to arrive.

Everyone take a deep breath.

Do not escalate.

Do not escalate.

And President Trump has a strategy here. hear him out, and then everything will

be fine.

As tensions grow between the U.S. and European leaders, France has asked for a NATO exercise

in Greenland and is ready to take part in it.

That's what the Elise Palace tells CNN CNN and comes as France and other European nations

have been sending some military personnel to the Arctic nation over the past week, to participate

in a separate joint exercise led by Denmark. CNN has asked for a response from NATO.
