0:09.8	The family members of Alejandra Caranza Medina, a Colombian killed during the September 15th military strike, have filed a formal petition with the Inter-American Commission on
0:24.6	Human Rights, the IACHR. They are asking the commission to declare his killing unlawful, specifically
0:34.6	that Hegsteth order to kill their family member, Alejandra, to be

0:47.8	this family has been speaking out, perhaps the only family member that has been speaking out about his killing.
0:56.5	Now, at the time of the strike, the administration said that this was Venezuelan, you know,
1:03.9	drug cartels, as they have said with every strike without any evidence.
1:08.7	And as we know, separately, the September 2nd strike is kind of
1:14.1	coming back to finally maybe get some momentum to push back against the unlawfulness of these
1:20.0	strikes in general because of the second order to kill all the people on the boat. Well,
1:25.3	this September 15th strike was they were using the same terminology,
1:30.7	the same playbook, but the men on these boats weren't even Venezuelan. They were Colombian.
1:37.9	And the family member have been speaking out vocally since then, wanting answers about why their family member was killed by the United
1:49.2	States. Not getting any answers, they have now filed this formal petition saying Hegseth,
1:57.5	illegally ordered the death of their family member and asking the commission to
