All U.S. military aid shipments to Ukraine are being frozen. Last night, a White House official

said President Donald Trump is pausing aid for the country after last week's Oval Office spat

with its president, Vladimir Zelensky. And an official said shipments will only start

up again if Trump determines that Zelensky commits to seeking peace talks. We asked CNN's

Nick Payton Walsh what this could mean for Ukraine. This is really a seismic blow to Ukraine,

a potential complete change in its alliances and supports. Now, the US aid is about 20 to 40%

depending on who you're listening to of what Ukraine gets, but it's the kind of aid. It's the air

defence patriot missiles that are capable of stopping Russian ballistic attacks. It's the

intelligence sharing that we understand is still continuing. These things could potentially

cripple Ukraine's war effort. And it also too is a sign of the peril ahead for Zelensky,

who either has to accede to the Trump administration's demands that he apologise,

accept a rare earth minerals deal, and a piece too, which he hasn't really got sight of yet,

or essentially be frozen out by the White House.

American consumers and businesses stand to pay a hefty price for Trump's tariffs on the country's
